How to make a QR code for your wedding

  1. 01

    Paste your link

Your wedding website, RSVP form, registry, livestream or photo gallery.

  2. 02

    Pick your colors

Match your palette. Keep the code dark on a light background so every phone can scan it.

  3. 03

    Add a caption

“Scan to RSVP” or “Share your photos” tells guests what the code is for.

  4. 04

    Download and print

PNG for Canva, Word or your printer; SVG for designers and large signs.

Where to use QR codes at your wedding

One code per job works best, each with a caption that says what it opens.

Invitations and save-the-dates

Link to your wedding website or RSVP form so guests don't have to type a long address.

Guest photo sharing

A welcome sign or table card that opens a shared album, so you get every guest's photos.

How QR photo sharing works

Audio guest book

Let guests record a voice message on their own phone instead of queueing at a rented phone.

See the audio guest book

Registry cards

Tuck a small card into the invitation that opens your registry or honeymoon fund.

Ceremony programs

Share the livestream for guests watching from home, or the order of service.

Menus and bar signs

Link to the full menu, allergy information or the story behind your signature cocktails.

Wedding QR code questions

Is this wedding QR code generator really free?

Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. Your QR code is generated in your browser and the link you enter isn't stored.

Will my wedding QR code expire?

No. This is a static QR code: the link is encoded directly in the pattern, with no redirect service in between, so it keeps working as long as your link does. If your link might change, point the code at a page you control, like your wedding website.

Can I change the link after printing?

Not on a static code. The link is part of the pattern, so a new link means a new code. Double-check the link and test-scan before you print.

PNG or SVG: which should I download?

PNG (2048 pixels wide) works everywhere: Canva, Word, Google Docs and online printers. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which is best for large signs or if a designer or stationer is laying out your invitations.

How big should the QR code be on my invitations?

At least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide on invitations and table cards, and 7.5 cm (3 in) or more on signs guests scan from a few steps away. Keep the white border around the code.

Can I make a QR code for wedding photos?

Yes, if you already have a shared album link, paste it here. If you don't, BridaLens gives you a private wedding gallery with its own QR code: guests scan, upload photos and videos from their phone browser with no app or account, and you download everything in one zip. It's $24.99, one-time.
